Youth Escapes From Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall

LOS ANGELES—At 7:53 p.m. on Saturday, November 4th, six youth were involved in an incident that resulted in staff being assaulted and one male was able to briefly escape Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall.  Probation’s Special Enforcement Operations officers, together with the South Gate and Downey Police Department, quickly apprehended the youth within 10 minutes and he was returned to the facility.

An investigation is underway.  Visiting hours for today have been canceled.  The facility will remain on lockdown to ensure the safety of the public, youth and staff until further notice.
