How to Apply

Applying for a job with the Los Angeles County Probation Department is simple.  Watch the video and follow the steps below.  Also be sure to review the additional information we have included for peace officer applicants.

1
Review Current Job Openings

Read the job description and requirements carefully

3
Take a Test for jobs you are interested in

If your application is accepted you will be invited to the next step, which is the exam process

4
Results of your test score(s) will be mailed to you

If you passed, you will be placed on an “eligible list” for at least 1 year. There is nothing more to do.

Once your name appears on an “Eligible List” and when there is an opening within the year, your application will be referred to the hiring manager by the score.  The hiring manager will contact you if they are interested in interviewing you.
