David Wolfsgruber, Deputy Director of Adult Services

Dave Wolfsgruber began his career in 1985 with the New Jersey State Parole Board.  Initially serving in the Parole Revocation Hearing Unit, he later served as Chief, responsible for oversight of all parole matters in the state of New Jersey.  He was hired as New Jersey’s Assistant Director of the Divisions of Parole and Community Programs and soon was appointed Executive Director, overseeing operations of an agency responsible for the supervision of 16,500 individuals, including a staff of 450 sworn and 200 civilian members.

Dave concluded his career at the New Jersey State Parole Board in late 2023 and transitioned to the position of Director of Parole for the Colorado Department of Corrections.  He received a bachelor’s degree in law and justice with a minor in Psychology from the College of New Jersey and subsequently achieved the designation of Certified Public Manager.

Dave is excited to join a team of tremendous professionals at the Los Angeles County Probation Department and looks forward to close collaboration with all staff to achieve our collective mission of enhancing public safety, ensuring victims’ rights, and effecting positive probationer behavioral change.
