Tracy Novak, Acting Deputy Director, Juvenile Camp Operations
As Acting Deputy Director of Juvenile Camp Operations, Tracy Novak oversees Camp Afflerbaugh, Camp Rockey, Dorothy Kirby Center, and Campus Kilpatrick.
Tracy Novak is a dedicated leader with more than 29 years of service to the Los Angeles County Probation Department. Throughout her career, she has worked with high-risk populations across a variety of programs, beginning as an Investigator Aide in Pre-Trial Services and advancing through the ranks in positions of increasing responsibility.
Most recently, Tracy served as Superintendent of Dorothy Kirby Center and the department’s East Camps, overseeing Dorothy Kirby Center, Camp Paige, Camp Afflerbaugh, and Camp Rockey.
She remains committed to the department’s mission of enhancing public safety through professional, compassionate, and transformative services. Tracy’s leadership reflects the departments values. She is driven by the conviction that every person, no matter their past, deserves the opportunity to rise, rebuild, and reconnect. Her work is rooted in instilling hope, nurturing growth, and empowering individuals to reclaim their futures with confidence and dignity.
A proud alumna of California Polytechnic University, Pomona, Tracy earned a bachelor’s degree in behavioral science with a Minor in Criminal Justice and Cultural Studies. Her work is grounded in the belief that change is always possible and that every new day brings fresh opportunities for growth.
