ABOUT CAMP AFFLERBAUGH
Purpose & Operations
Camp Afflerbaugh (CBA) is an open-dorm boys camp nestled in a mountainous setting, surrounded by lush greenery and mature trees. The camp serves post-disposition male probation youth ages 12 to 18 and currently has the capacity to house up to 60 youth.
All youth are committed by a juvenile delinquency court to a locked camp community placement program, with placements ranging from 5 to 7 months or 7 to 9 months.
CAMP AFFLERBAUGH HISTORY
Established in 1961, named in honor of the late C.B. “Jack “Afflerbaugh. His belief in the welfare of youth has remained the guiding philosophy and vision for the youth currently receiving treatment in camp. Camp Afflerbaugh has been committed to providing rehabilitative treatment programs to at-risk youth for over 60 years.
