Volunteer in Service To Others Program (VISTO)

Through the County of Los Angeles Board of Supervisors’ leadership and commitment the County’s Volunteer Program has played a critical role in the enrichment of public service. VISTO volunteers make a difference in transforming the lives of youth in our care and within your communities. Volunteers in Service to Others program (VISTO) provides individuals 21 years or older and opportunity to contribute services to probationers in detention centers or camps. Volunteer services include religious, education, administrative, mentoring, and coaching supervised by authorized personnel under the direction of the facility director.

As you help young people learn and acquire successful life skills you will experience the reward and satisfaction that comes when you help others succeed. There is no greater reward than being in service to others.
