PROBATION’S EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP PRESENTS AT THE LA COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS’ MEETING ON 4-28-26.
Chief Probation Officer Viera Rosa, along with Chief Deputies Williams and Arcos, presented at the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors meeting on April 28. They provided an update on the status of the Probation Department, including ongoing efforts to bring Campus Kilpatrick and Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall into compliance.

LA COUNTY OMBUDSPERSONS ASSIGNED TO JUVENILE FACILITIES
Los Angeles County Probation Department has facility Ombudspersons assigned to all our juvenile facilities. If you have a concern, complaint, or compliment, contact the Ombudsperson at 877-822-3222. We hear you!
LACP CELEBRATES GRAND OPENING OF BABY BONDING CENTER AT BARRY J. NIDORF
The Los Angeles County Probation Department celebrated the grand opening of the Pops and Tots Baby Bonding Center at Barry J. Nidorf on April 25, 2026. Created to help young fathers build stronger relationships with their children, the welcoming space supports family connection, rehabilitation, and positive outcomes for youth. The department thanked staff, Supervisor Mathiesen, and the young fathers who helped bring the center to life.
CAMPUS KILPATRICK (CVK) VISITING
Visitation at Campus Vernon Kilpatrick is Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Only approved parents, legal guardians, and grandparents may visit. Legal guardians must show court verification. Baby bonding visits may be scheduled outside regular hours.
While parents may drive themselves, transportation support is available. Pick up locations are Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall and Dorothy Kirby Center. Approved visitors desiring the use of rideshare support must report to one of the two detention facilities by 11:00 a.m. on the day of CVK visitation. Minor children are not allowed on rideshare. All visitors are subject to search. No personal items may enter the facility. Anyone suspected of being under the influence will be denied entry. PROBATION MOBILE RESOURCE CENTER (MRC)
The LA County Probation Mobile Resource Center (MRC) will be in the community. The MRC offers information and resources for clients and Los Angeles County residents.
