LA County Probation Leads Multi-Agency Compliance Operation to Strengthen Public Safety

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles County Probation Department led a coordinated compliance operation this week targeting individuals under probation supervision. In partnership with partner law enforcement agencies, the operation aimed to ensure accountability, enforce court-ordered conditions, and bolster the community’s public safety across Los Angeles County.

The effort resulted in one hundred and six compliance checks conducted and twenty-five arrests. Sixteen firearms, three weapons, and a variety of narcotics were recovered and confiscated. Probation officers conducted the checks in collaboration with the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, Los Angeles Police Department, Pomona PD, Glendale PD, Azusa PD, El Monte PD, Downey PD, Los Angeles District Attorney, and the Department of Justice, focusing on individuals with known risks or prior violations.

“These operations underscore our commitment to public safety and accountability,” said Robert Arcos, Deputy Director for the Los Angeles County Probation Department. “Working closely with our law enforcement partners, we’re ensuring that individuals on probation are following the rules and the people in our communities are protected.”

The Department regularly conducts targeted compliance operations to reinforce the terms of probation, reduce recidivism, and support safer neighborhoods. These efforts are part of the Department’s broader strategy to enhance supervision, build trust, and promote successful rehabilitation.
