A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; -AND- either:

Option I: Two years of experience as a Deputy Probation Officer I, Senior Detention Services Officer, Transportation Deputy, Probation, or Senior Investigator Aid, Probation, in the service of Los Angeles County;

-or-

Option II: Three years of experience as a peace officer in probation, parole, corrections, or other law enforcement field at the level of Los Angeles County's classes of *Deputy Probation Officer I, **Senior Detention Services Officer, ***Transportation Deputy, Probation, or ****Senior Investigator Aid, Probation, with at least six months of experience conducting complete field investigations of full responsibility for supervising either adult or juvenile probationers.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited* college -AND- One year's experience in a highly responsible staff capacity** at the level of the County of Los Angeles class of Administrative Assistant III*** analyzing and making recommendations for the solution of problems of organization, procedure, program, budget or personnel.

Requirements: Successful Applicants for the position of Reserve Deputy Probation Officer must possess the following: be at least 21 years of age, have achieved at least sophomore year status form a four year college or University with the goal of attaining at least a bachelor degree in the foreseeable future, U.S. Citizen, Posses a valid California Driver's License, be properly insured as a driver, have no record of felony conviction, pass a medical and psychological examination, successfully complete the prescribed basic orientation training course, Successfully complete the additional service and training under the supervision of a regular probation staff member.

Requirements: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university* in education or a related human services field and five years of highly responsible** full-time experience supervising professional staff in the delivery of services to clients in an educational program, including administrative and programmatic responsibility for the day-to-day operations, program implementation, case management, policies and procedures, budget, training, and related administrative operations.

Requirements: Successful applicants for the position of Volunteer must possess the following: Be at least 21 years of age to provide volunteer services in Camp or Halls; 18 years of age to provide volunteer services in Probation Area Offices.
