Chief Deputy Probation Officer
The Chief Deputy Probation Officer directs and oversees all operations of the Department, with the following direct reports:
- Assistant Chief Probation Officer for Operations
- Assistant Chief Probation Officer for Support Services
- Bureau Chief, Quality Assurance Services
- Chief Information Officer, Information Systems Bureau
- Director, Affirmative Action & Americans with Disabilities Act Coordinator
- Director, Legislative Analyst
The Departmental structure under the Assistant Chief for Support Services includes the Administrative Deputy Director for Administrative Services, as well as the Management Services Bureau, and the Training and Learning Development Office.
The Departmental structure under the Assistant Chief for Operations includes the Deputy Director of Field Services, who is over the Adult Field Services Bureau and the Juvenile Field Services Bureaus. The Deputy Director of Special Services is over the Juvenile Special Services Bureau and the Placement Services Bureau, and the Deputy Director of Juvenile Institutions Services is over the Detention Services Bureau and the Residential Treatment Services Bureau.
The Chief Deputy plays a leading role on all of the Department’s “Governance Committees,” which include the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), the Policy Committee, the Operations Committee (OPS), and the Strategic Planning Committee. Governance Committees define and formulate Department policy. They are also charged with developing and implementing operational and administrative strategies, initiatives, and programs consistent with the vision of the Department.
The Chief Deputy Probation Officer promotes, initiates, and facilitates internal and external efforts to create interdepartmental, community and interagency partnerships to deliver new or enhanced services to the courts, probationers, victims, and many others.
