Contract Development Section

The Contract Development Section is responsible for reducing the Department's costs through contracting while maintaining appropriate level of services. This includes conducting feasibility studies, developing solicitation documents, evaluating proposals, negotiating with selected prospective contractor(s), preparing contracts and other Board related documents, as well as providing technical support to administrative and line staff, and liaison to other County departments.

Grants Management Section

The Grants Unit is responsible for researching grant opportunities, informing management of available funding, making recommendations on appropriate funding to pursue, and preparing and submitting grant applications. The section oversees administrative compliance with grantor and County mandates for funded programs, prepares Memoranda of Understandings, and confers with County and outside agencies as potential partners in special programs.
